I normally use my cell phone only to call, I even rarely write text messages. So my telephone is a basic Nokia. When the Conference Compass was installed, I was surprised that it worked bug free on my old-fashioned phone. Using the application is very intuitive and has many advantages over a paper version of the timetable. It is more compact than the book and allows silent browsing it during a session. The phone is always close while the book-of-abstracts is stored in the bag. All cross-references are available: time, author, short abstract, location; providing relations that haven’t been made on paper. Nicely customisable by checking favourites that are presented as the favourites of the day.
